Lorca's father, Leonard Cohen, has emailed me with the information that Lorca Cohen is the mother, not the surrogate mother,  of Viva and will raise the child herself. Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen was born February 2, 2011. Rufus Wainwright is the biological father, Lorca Cohen is the  mother, and Wainwright's parner of 5 years, Jorn Weisbrodt is identified in the official birth announcement as "Deputy Dad."
