Continuing today's royalty theme is this image and title found at Minna Gilligan: I listen all night for your step on the stair (March 22, 2012) accompanied by this text:

This is my 500th post which makes it pretty evident that my life is a boring load of crap. But, even if this milestone is arbitrary and meaningless I had to post something that packed a bit of punch - below is a drawing my friend Gonzalo did of me and ‘His Royal Highness’ Leonard Cohen. It is literally the best thing ever in the whole world and he gave it to me, and now I am going to treasure it literally forever. In real life it’s 40 times better than the photo, too, so that gives you some idea. Here’s to 500 more.

Signs Of Leonard Cohen - At The Roxy

DrHGuy apologizes for any discomfort experienced by those who have followed Leonard Cohen's musical pilgrimages as they search their memories for his fictional June 25th 2008 concert at the Roxy.

It turns out that this poster is an unpublished exercise based on the brief, "Make a tour poster for Leonard Cohen using the process of etching."

From Bugcom:

Made as a 210x270mm portrait by Leonard Cohen based on the cover picture of his album “Ten New Songs”.

10songs

Later on it was developed further as a fictional 640x910mm tour poster. The original version is a etching, using strong acid to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface, and has a very limited print run.
